Start with identity
Look for the organization's public or legal name, website, past projects and institutional contacts. A verified profile helps, but it does not replace reading the full opportunity and asking questions.
Check that links lead to coherent domains and that the same project is not advertised with contradictory conditions elsewhere.
Conditions should be concrete
A trustworthy call explains dates, place, tasks, profile, selection, costs, accommodation and support. Projects involving minors or vulnerable people need suitable safeguarding arrangements. Safety is planned before an activity, not after a problem appears.
- A responsible contact and reasonable answers to questions.
- An understandable selection process without instant-place promises.
- Information about accessibility, insurance and emergencies.
- Written conditions before committing money or travel.
Protect your data
An initial application usually needs profile information and motivation answers. Passport, banking, health or other sensitive documents should be requested only for a clear purpose, at a stage that justifies them, and through a private channel.
Never share passwords or access codes. Check the recipient and domain before opening links or uploading files.
What to do when unsure
Do not let an artificial deadline pressure you. Save screenshots, links and messages; ask a known youth organization or National Agency; and report the post where it appeared. If you already shared sensitive data, change affected credentials and seek guidance quickly.
