Learning to improve youth work
Mobility projects for youth workers support the professional development of people working with young people in paid or voluntary roles. They can include training courses, seminars, study visits, job shadowing, peer exchange and networking.
Their purpose is not an academic qualification but stronger competences, methods and quality practices through non-formal and informal learning.
Who is it for?
A call should explain the experience, role or professional need it seeks. A formal job title is not always required, but you should have a genuine link to youth work and an intention to use the learning afterwards.
- Youth workers, facilitators, mentors or active volunteers.
- People connected to a youth organization or community.
- Availability for preparation, participation and follow-up.
Recognizing a quality activity
A strong training activity starts from identified needs, actively involves participants and documents learning outcomes, often through Youthpass. It should include preparation, support, evaluation and transfer back to organizations.
Academic study trips, tourism, festivals and profit-making activities are not eligible formats under this action.
Before applying
Connect your motivation to your practice: the challenge you face, what you want to learn and how you will share it. Check language, accessibility, travel, timing and follow-up expectations. A concrete answer is usually stronger than a generic letter.
